(Two Minute Money Maker) Ask For The Business!
Hello legends :)
Here are some notes from a recent coaching session:
Here's one of the biggest sales mistakes I see.
Salespeople do all the hard work...
They build rapport.
They ask great questions.
They uncover the pain.
They present the solution.
They answer every objection.
Then they finish the conversation...
...without actually asking for the sale.
It sounds unbelievable, but it happens every single day.
Fear gets in the way.
"I don't want to sound pushy."
"I don't want them to feel pressured."
"What if they say no?"
Here's the reality...
If you've genuinely helped the customer and your solution is right for them, asking for the business isn't being pushy.
It's being professional.
Your customer is already trying to make a decision. They're weighing up the options in their head.
Your job is to make that decision easier.
That's why one simple question can dramatically increase your sales.
"When would you like us to get started?"
"When can I expect the purchase order?"
"Would you like me to lock that in for you today?"
"What day suits you best to begin?"
Then do something that most salespeople struggle with...
Be quiet.
Don't keep talking.
Don't discount.
Don't justify.
Don't rescue the silence.
Silence isn't your enemy.
Silence is where decisions are made.
The person who speaks first usually loses.
I've coached hundreds of business owners and sales teams, and one pattern keeps showing up.
The businesses that consistently ask for the business consistently win more business.
Not because they're better talkers.
Because they actually ask.
Remember...
You miss 100% of the sales you never ask for.
Today's Action Step:
Review your sales conversations.
Are you clearly asking every prospect for the business before you finish the call?
If not, that's probably the fastest sales increase you'll ever make.
Take more shots at goal.
You've got this.
