Take More Shots At Goal

July 16, 20261 min read

Here are some notes from a recent coaching session:

One of our clients recently had a record month.

$707,000 worth of completed work.

He's on track to triple last year's turnover.

Cash reserves have increased by 480%.

The interesting thing?

He didn't discover some secret marketing trick.

He didn't hire a superstar salesperson.

He didn't spend a fortune on advertising.

He simply started taking more shots at goal.

More follow-up.

More quotes.

More conversations.

More action.

Most business owners massively overcomplicate growth.

They think they need:

A new website.

A new CRM.

A new logo.

A new marketing campaign.

What they usually need is more activity.

More quality conversations.

More follow-up.

More consistency.

The client told me something interesting.

He said he's already completed more work in the first six months of this year than he did in the whole of last year.

Why?

Because he stopped trying to implement everything.

Instead, he picked one or two ideas at a time and executed them consistently.

That's the secret.

Not knowing more.

Doing more.

Execution beats education.

Action beats intention.

Consistency beats intensity.

Business growth is usually boring.

It's not one giant breakthrough.

It's hundreds of small improvements stacked on top of each other.

One extra phone call.

One extra follow-up.

One extra improvement.

One extra conversation.

One extra shot at goal.

Do that every day for a year and your business will look completely different.

Your challenge today:

Ask yourself:

"Where am I not taking enough shots at goal?"

Then double it.

Don't delay.
